Canelo Alvarez answers question about retirement

31-year-old Mexican Canelo Alvarez (57-1-2, 39 KOs), now the undisputed champion of the super middleweight division and the best boxer in any weight category, is not going to hang up his gloves in the foreseeable future.

He spoke about this in an interview with Chris Mannix.

“I don’t see myself outside of boxing,” Canelo admitted. “I want to fight for many more years. You know, in this sport you have little time, I always say that (I plan to compete) for another six or seven years. Maybe less, maybe more. No one knows”.

“It will be difficult (to say goodbye to boxing), but well. The body itself will tell you when it’s time to leave, ”said the Mexican.

On May 7, Alvarez is scheduled to fight in light heavyweight (up to 79.4 kg) against Dmitry Bivol, WBA Super title holder from Russia.

Meanwhile, Canelo got into a “brawl” with Nurmagomedov’s manager.
